Our Philosophy

Education is a passage to freedom from the shackles of ignorance. In today’s dynamic world, education is an asset. In 1 Kings 5 through 7 describes in detail how King Solomon’s first major task was to build the Lord’s Temple. Jachin and Boaz are the names of two bronze pillars erected at the entrance to the vestibule of the Lord’s temple, according to 1 Kings 7:21. Jachin (pronounced yaw-keen) means “he will establish,” and Boaz signifies “in him is strength.” Taken together, the names were a reminder that God would establish the temple and the worship of His name in strength.

Likewise DOAN Education Institute (College) is founded on two pillars: Our Spiritual and Our Education Pillars.

  • The 1st Pillar: Our Spiritual Pillar

Like the Jachin pillar we believe God will establish and build up our college through His word which is the beginning of wisdom. We provide spiritual guidance and counseling; we mentor our students; we have daily devotions and prayer; we have weekly services all aimed at growing our students spiritually and ultimately achieving our mandate to make Disciples OAll Nations (DOAN).

  • The 2nd Pillar: Our Educational Pillar

Like the Boaz pillar we believe God, by His strength, will use our college administration, teachers and students to provide relevant tertiary courses and enhance our experiential learning. Experiential Learning is the process of learning by doing. By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they are better able to connect theories and knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations.

However, as we strive for holistic education we know it does not end at just learning. We make sure our students are rooted in the values and knowledge of the Word of God. It is our promise to make them not only successful human beings in academic realms but in areas of spiritual growth and development.

DOAN Education Institute (College), is an initiative towards creating tomorrow’s leaders that are God fearing who are willing to change the world for the better. At DOAN Education Institute (College), we prepare you to launch your career by providing a supportive, creative, and professional environment where you can learn practical skills, build a network of industry contacts, and gain real-world experience.

At DOAN Education Institute (College), our educators know education and job markets are changing and that we need to provide the relevant skills and knowledge while taking into consideration our students needs to equip them for the 21st century job market.

OUR VISION, MISSION and CORE VALUES

At DOAN Education Institute (College), to achieve a professional goal our team works while adhering to the following Vision, Mission and Core Values.

At DOAN Education Institute (College), our vision and mission are Biblically based. Drawn from the book of Matthew in the New Testament; the last two verses of the gospel when Jesus has just risen from the dead and is talking to his disciples. His parting words are:

Go therefore and make Disciples Of All Nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19–20).

This is the great commission from Jesus Christ.

our vision is: “To make Disciples Of All Nations (DOAN).” We make sure our students are rooted in the values and knowledge of the Word of God. Our goal is to improve Kenyan education through the Biblical gospel by teaching our students relevant Christian values and their importance in the corporate world.

Our mission is: “To achieve the great commission of making Disciples Of All Nations (DOAN) through education.” We provide an environment primed for building our students faith. DOAN incorporates Christian values and lessons into classes, with daily devotions and weekly religious services as well as one on one spiritual counseling. Our holistic approach gives our graduates an edge in the current job market through the Biblical gospel by teaching our students relevant Christian values and their importance in the corporate world.

Our core values are: WISDOM and TRUTH.

  • wisdom – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of WISDOM.” Proverbs 9:10(a)
  • TRUTH – “and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

God’s divine power has bestowed on us everything that makes for life and devotion, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and power.
